Stuff

Caleb and I are going to visit my sister tomorrow and stay a couple of nights. We haven't been to her house in a long time, so I'm excited to spend time with her! We'll be heading to BabiesRUs so I can give her advice on what to register for (since I'm an expert now and everything!), and we'll also go to a new scrapbook store close to her house.

My sister lives about 3 1/2 hours from us and Caleb will sleep about 1 1/2 hours of that, so hopefully for the remaining 2 hours he won't be screaming. He doesn't like to be confined to the car seat for very long...he's much too active for that! If you're driving down the Interstate in the middle of Texas and you see a crazy woman belting out Veggie Tales Sunday Morning Songs at the top of her lungs with the windows rolled down and a child crying in the back seat, that's me. Say a prayer for us as you pass.

Hubby and I didn't get to go see the movie this weekend. We were lacking a babysitter and I know the people in the theater didn't want my 1yo running around and screaming (you're welcome). I hope it is still playing this weekend near us; several friends have seen it and said it is definitely worth the time. Interestingly, one of my friends commented that it seemed cheesy at first because of the way they talk about living their lives for God. She said she finally realized that it's because Hollywood has made us think that's cheesy. We talk that way in normal life, but to see it on the big screen seems weird.

I'm off to do laundry and pack all the necessary toys/pack'n'play/diapers/wipes/feeding seat/books/clothes/videos/younameitit'sgoinginthecar for our trip tomorrow. Sis doesn't have a child (YET!!!), so we have to bring all the stuff with us. I can't wait to get there! :-)

Have a blessed rest of the week!

Have a wonderful time and a safe trip! Enjoy time with the sister and have a great time registering for all of the fun goodies she'll need. I can't wait to see photos of the trip...

I am so excited it's almost Thursday! I laughed out loud about the singing in the car with the windows down. I can just see Caleb in the backseat with his eyes squinted from the wind. :) I was thinking yesterday how easy it will be for me when I go to see you. I'll hardly have to bring anything with me! Have fun packing!

Yay! Scrapbook store! Does she live in the Dallas area? I've heard there's a great store called Scrapbook Warehouse - one in Lewisville & one in Colleyville. Sounds like a great weekend! I'd love to see some of your pages - maybe you could post a couple. :)

Oh, go have fun! You will be such a blessing to her. Oh, and put that exersaucer back. You really won't need it... (I always packed WAY too much stuff for the kids.)

Enjoy your visit!
I will be praying for a safe (and relatively quiet) trip.
Veggie tales songs are great--I know a few myself!

How exciting to get to visit your sister....those are always such special times.
I looked for the movie at theaters where I live but couldn't find it.
Have a great visit!

Have a great visit with your sister. I don't have one but am sure you two have a special bond. I know I enjoy getting off with my girlfriends and visiting so it is probably similar. Caleb may surprise you and do just fine on the trip down. Maybe if you start the trip, an hour or so before his nap time, he will only fuss a little before going to sleep and then be happy until you get there. I will say a little prayer for you!

My sister just left this morning. We hadn't seen each other in over two years and only had 36 hours together this time but it was wonderful. Enjoy your visit with yours.
