When we decided on a name for Caleb, a friend at church with an adult son named Caleb told us to be careful because they live up to their names. Caleb means, "bold, whole-hearted, faithful." It's the bold part he was referring to. And Caleb has definitely lived up to that name already, at almost 7 years old. He is our thrill seeker. Our adventure lover. Our child who will surely give his mother a heart attack before he graduates from high school. He makes new friends easily and enters new situations with confidence (he obviously did not get this from either of his parents!).
Levi's name means "attached, joined to." He is our shy one. He is the one who had to be dragged into Sunday School every.single.Sunday for the more than 2 years he went to the same class in Singapore. He is the one I have to peel off of me whenever we go into any new situation. We know enough now to know that he needs time to adjust to new things. He is the first to tell you he loves you and is generous with hugs and kisses.
This baby in my belly doesn't have a name yet. But based on how his two brothers have lived up to their names already and the stage of life we're currently in, we've decided to name him "Quietly Obeys." It has a nice ring, don't you think? :-)
We're, obviously, still discussing names. Actually, there isn't much discussing. More like, "we need to pick a name for this baby" and then I'm tired and go take a nap. I'm 29 weeks now, so our time for name-choosing is getting shorter all the time (10 weeks since I'll have a c-section at 39 weeks). The baby won't leave the hospital without a name, though, I promise. It gets difficult with the 3rd child of the same gender, especially when the first two siblings have Biblical names. We have a list, but we can't seem to decide on anything. We'll be sure to let you all know when we do, so rest assured we are not trying to keep it a secret...we just don't know!
