Date Night

(Updated to add: this is the concert we're going to. I'm so excited to hear these awesome Christian bands!)

Hubby and I are finally getting a whole evening to ourselves! (Well, I guess we're really spending it with thousands of other people, but whatever.) This Saturday evening we're going to a concert and leaving Caleb in the capable hands of a delightful college-aged girl from church. We are so excited and need some couple time.

Yesterday we spent the afternoon playing board games. It was great fun--no stress and no money spent. Can't beat it!

With a little one on the way any day now, my hubby and I have been trying to squeak out as much "alone-time" as we can. As much as we love our little ones, there's something about just being together (even if it's amongst thousands of people. :-)

Sounds awesome! All the good concerts come right to ya'll. John & I spent a rare evening playing 2-handed spades. We're going to the circus (hopefully) tomorrow. :) You & Justin have fun!

Oh awesome! I love Sonic Flood. I remember seeing the Newsboys at a small church when I was in highschool- I even got their autographs! My youthgroup thought we were SO cool for being in the front row!

Awesome! I know you two will have a blast. Dave loves Newsboys, and though I had never really listened to them prior to his introduction, their music is a huge blessing! And I seriously have to get out more (or have someone who watches tv and keeps up with world events let me know what's going on), but did one of the Backstreet Boys become a Christian?

Looks like it's gonna be an awesome concert! I LOVE THE NEWSBOYS! That man can preach! I mean I know he's mostly a singer, but his testimony is just awesome! I just saw him last Thursday! Fun times!

It has been a long time since my hubby and I have just had a date. We do however, take time to walk together or just get in the car and drive for a bit. I'm a 53 year old mother of a 19 year old daughter who will soon be a married daughter, a 16 year old "drama queen" daughter, and a 7 year old son. (I was 46 when I gave birth to the littl man!) Enjoy your time together!

Hope you enjoyed the concert! My hubby and I saw Josh Bates with Casting Crowns when they came into town a few months ago. He was great and I love his curly hair!!!
