The Holy of Holies

I've been studying the Tabernacle lately; what an amazing study! Beth Moore asks a question at the end of the study A Woman's Heart: God's Dwelling Place. She asks, "Could it be enough for you simply to stand in that outer court any longer?" My answer is a resounding "NO." It's not enough. It can never be enough once you have witnessed all that God wants to give. I want to be able to say that "I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord...I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him" (Phil. 3:8-9a). Christ was the manifestation of God's glory in human form. Oh that I might be found in Him.

"Can you live with the mediocrity of life in the outer court when you have been invited to dwell in the excellence of the innermost place? If you dare enter, you will never be the same." ~Beth Moore

I don't want to be the same.

I whole heartedly agree - I don't want to stand in that outer court any more either. And yet, I always wind up there all over again - I'm an awful wanderer. oh that my feet would be cemented there in the innermost place :(

That's the Beth Moore study I am in right now! I LOVE Beth Moore--I even put her on my thankful list yesterday ;-)!!!

Those are awesome thoughts--what week are you on? We are doing week 3 this week. I am so blessed by her studies!

I really enjoy the Beth Moore studies too. I can totally identify with the overwhelming desire to "be in the place" that God is. I also totally don't get why I don't make the effort to do it as much as I could. What is getting in my way?

Amen to that! I'm doing that same study with a group of girls at my church. We're doing one day a week b/c several have young children and husbands, and several are doing more than one study right now. Every week I want to rush ahead. I want to go past my alotted day. Like you, I want more. I don't want to be satisfied! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'll definitely be back here!!

Nice quote from Phillipians! (I just read this one after I posted to April 10) Oh Lord, help us who are so prideful and weak.. help us to consider everything rubbish and want to enter into your inner courts.. Do you know the song, "Better is One Day" by Matt Redman..
How lovely is Your dwelling place.
O Lord Almighty.
My soul longs and even faints
for You.
For here my heart is satisfied,
within Your presence.
I sing beneath the shadow of
Your wings.
Better is one day in Your courts,
Better is one day in Your house.
Better is one day in Your courts
Than Thousands elsewhere.

One thing I ask and I would seek
to see Your beauty,
To find You in the place Your
glory dwells. (2x)

My heart and flesh cry out,
to You the living God
Your Spirit's water for my soul.
I've tasted and I've seen,
come once again to me.
I will draw near to You,
I will draw near to You.
