Fat

That's how I feel these days. (This is not a plea for compliments and please don't send me Scriptures about how beauty is on the inside. I know them already and I really believe them. This is only a post about my laziness.)

I'm lazy when it comes to excercising. I eat like I'm still in high school and playing volleyball, marching in the band, and cheerleading all at the same time. I had high metabolism. Before I had thryroid problems. Before I had a baby.

You see the problem.

Mel over at The Amazing Shrinking Mom has helped encourage me to eat less brownies and move more. I can do it. So can you. Go check her out. She's been there and she's already lost almost 30 pounds since Easter. Amazing. Shrinking. Mom. :-)

I've been loving the Shrinking Mom blog, too. Doesn't mean I've gotten off my rear just yet, but I am thinking about it!

I am not the exerciser either. Recently I forced our family to get out and walk after dinner. Its been good for my body and mind. Fresh air can do that to a SAHM!!! Do not beat yourself up - we all have these moments!!!

Thanks for the link, I am on my way over there.
I have had no energy lately either. Even though I know that it will make me feel healthier if I am more active. So good luck to you!

Can I relate to this post? Um... yes!! And I don't even have a child yet, so what's my excuse? I could probably come up with a few if I really wanted to... but I know they would just be excuses. Does it count that my incredibly thin husband still has a high metabolism and likes to have yummy (translation: fattening) food in the house when I am the one that is here all day long?

I'll go check her out. I've been on my own private weight loss journey recently but I'm not ready yet to blog and share right now...you're the first to hear it :)

All I can say is I totally relate. My motto right now is "My exercise is MY priority right now". Before my girls, before my husband before everything. Because really, what is 30 minutes that the rest of the world can't wait!

Good luck!

Right there with you Jenn. Although like Lisa, I can only blame it on my husband, b/c I don't have the kiddo reason. I can relate - I'm still eating like I'm in cross country. My sister's getting married in the spring so I've gotta get going - don't want to be the 'fat' sister at the wedding. And we DO need to get together. :)

I'm so up and down with my weight it's unreal. The facts are that I love junk and hate to exercise. :)

I've been following Mel's weight loss progress too. She is just AWESOME. The eating plan she promotes has worked really well for me too. (Low-carb). Also, green tea seems to make a difference. Go visit The Amazing Shrinking Mom... she's funny and you'll love her!

Yeah, I love Mel's Shrinking Mom site too. She is so funny and really knows how to lay out the truth! I've been avoiding exercise because it's so darn hot. I can't even think of moving when all I have to do is sit on the couch and I'm already sweating. I have been swimming more, though, to beat the heat and that's something! I think we are too hard on ourselves and shoot for major changes over night. I would do better if I didn't expect myself to be Wonder Woman. (I used to have her underoos, but never have had her special powers.)
