Attention Retailers of America

I am 27 years old. I would like to go shopping and buy something for a 27-year-old that is not cut down to there or skin tight. I am not 16. I am not a size 6. I do not want to look like my grandmother in order to find a modest dress.

Thank you.

Amen.
Okay, and what about the tops that are ALL made for women with A cups!
I mean, I am not a plus size woman by any stretch of the imagination but I have a chest after having 2 kids. I can barely find a tee shirt that doesn't make me look like a hoochie!
(hubby likes 'em but that is hardly the point!!!LOL)

Lol! You go girl! I love to shop and I love clothes, but sometimes it is so difficult!! Hello...I'd like to look beautiful AND decent. Oh, and being a size 6 makes little difference...they're still too low or too tight or too short...sigh...

PS--I found you through my mom's blog Just As I Am. While I don't blog, I have enjoyed reading yours this last week or so. Thanks!

Oh my sweet goodness, THANK YOU!!!

I sooo agree with you. I'm 56 years old, Aggiejenn. And I don't want to shop in old lady shops just quite yet. So let me tell you, it's frustrating.

I'm tall, I'm thin, I color my hair, I look younger than I am. But there's no way I'm wearing what's marketed these days.

It's very frustrating, isn't it?

What a short but very eye-opening post! Retailers of America, take note!

A big amen to that thought. I am 46 and I don't want to dress like I'm 16 nor do I want to dress like I'm 46 - is there nothing in between that, you know, covers up the stuff that should be covered?

This reminds me of when I was pregnant -- all the maternity clothes were geared towards young women who like to expose their tummy's and cleavage. Trust me, when you're 44 and pregnant, no one wants to see any of that!

Amen, sister, AMEN! I often thought of designing a contemporary line of clothing with beautiful fabrics, modest cuts, and affordable prices ...

But I can't sew.

My very first post on my funny blog is about this very subject! I titled it, "Do I Look Like I Want to Wear a Moo Moo?" The post won me $1000.
